I chose to draw a sun because I tend to try and stay positive no matter what! even though I'm very morbid

I chose to use a pencil as my logo because of my overwhelming love to draw. I draw on pretty much any paper, a I've been drawing since I was little!

I chose too use a knife covered in blood, because of my incredibly odd and mildly disturbing obsession with horror and other abstract and chilling things. Again I used the initials 'SR' as thats my online persona

I chose to use this, mainly because that is my character, skylar, she represents me, in a different liking, and a bit better.

I chose to use the letter 'SR' because I sign all of, well my traditional art, with that, I also added the star, which is black, LIKE MY SOUL. I used the galaxy design because it leads to a world of opportunities

I chose to use these colors in this order because it represents the pansexual flag, as I am pan, I used them. Now as for the pawprint, i love animals do i tried to represent that, and 'SLR' stands for Skylar Lee Rose, which is a character I made to represent myself.

 regarding this book cover, the cover art is relatively old school, it's too realistic, the color of the cover itself seems mostly faded, and yellowed from age. things that need to be updated would most likely be the art style, some, not all but some, book covers have a cartoonish style to them and have better color contrast and such. the color of the cover needs to be changed as well, so it looks younger.

semester 1 reflection

Quality of work.
when it comes to the quality, i tended to try to quickly get an idea down slowly revise it as i go along, its a weird way of doing it but it works really well. I tend to do my own thing when it comes to concept, but I do keep to the rules, I hate relying on outside sources, it doesen't make it feel like my own work. I don't usually complete art quickly unless I'm extremely focused, so my work may not always get turned in on time, but it's only because i want to make sure its perfect. as said before, I change things as I go, it may be a little slow, but it gets the job done.

Effort
I'm generally slow when it comes to coming up with ideas or concepts, but I try, sometimes I zone out while working in order to gain some ideas. some times I do go for an easier solution, but not very often, i tend to only do that when I panic. as for difficulty, I don't give up on things, how ever, when I can't figure something out, I tend to get very frustrated, so I sometimes step away from it to calm down, and review a few references before trying again. to be completely honest I want to take risks, but I get scared I'll fail, or I'll upset others so I generally don't. And no, I don't have a positive attitude towards my own art because frankly, its horrible.

Participation
I'm most definitely am on time to class, the only time I was ever late was when I got lost. I do try to work the entire block, however sometimes I tend to lose inspiration, and zone out in order to regain my original idea in which I started out with. I try to do things on my own, because stubborn-ness, but we all need help, so I do ask for help. as for staying on task, or focusing on one thing at once has always been difficult for me, so I tend to do more then one thing at a time, sometimes I'll have my sketchbook out and doodle random things to gain an idea of what I should do.

Improvement
I already created my own regular art style, I however don't know my digital art style yet, but I want to go into the field of game design or something along those lines, so I plan on improving my photoshop skills, and my art skills in general. as seen before, I NEED to have better self-confidence, to be honest I don't think i belong here, my art is horrendous. but seriously this is actually my first time working with photoshop, so I'm definitely slow, however I plan on getting a lot better!! SO EXPECT IMPROVEMENTS!!!!!!!
